Instagram baker @cakeontherun has shared her simple recipe for making her lemon overnight oats, and it takes literally seconds to throw together. You can make the cute breakfast pots in advance so you can wake up to a healthy meal rather than grabbing something Naughty on the go.

If you’ve got a spare jam jar hanging around the kitchen, this would work perfectly. But if not, any little dish or ramekin would do. To save you time, you can make a few of them at the same time so you’ve got one for every member of the family.

The great thing about this breakfast is that you can customize it however you wish. Choose your own yogurt, may it be low fat, Greek or dairy-free and top with whatever you fancy. And remember it’s perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  2. Pour over boiling water just so it covers the oats.
  3. Put curd on top then yoghurt, and sprinkles if you fancy
  4. Pop in the fridge for at least an hour.
